  • First Ever, Highway 136 Yard Sale: encouraging all counties that Highway 136 travels through to participate in this event. ( From Alabama state line to Gainesville, GA). The East Armuchee Community Club will have spaces available to rent at the Armuchee Valley Com-munity Center and will be open to campers to set up with their "stuff". Many of the old ways of using plants for curing illnesses were passed on to the white settlers by the Cherokees. Many are still used today. The Cherokees believed that each tree, shrub, and herb, even down to the grasses and mosses were all put here to heal different diseases. Admission: adults-$5, senior citizens-$3 and students- $2.
