Former Sonoraville standout Kailey Vaughn (seated, right) recently signed to play volleyball at Dalton State, becoming the school's first-ever signee for the program which will begin its first season in August.

Vaughn said of the signing: "It’s just a good school, and I am really excited that they have a volleyball program starting this year and I am proud to be one of the inaugural signees. I knew there was going to be a volleyball program started, and I had hoped it would begin in time for me to play. It turned out for the best."

Vaughn started her college career at Reinhardt this past fall and played one season there, seeing action in seven matches. She transferred to Dalton State for the spring semester. Also attending the signing were: Mother Melanie Vaughn (seated, left), Dalton State Volleybal Coach Bruna Langner (back, from left), Grandmother Ina Gerrish, Grandmother Christine Combs and Father Trace Vaughn.
