Calhoun Beautification Committee will distribute free trees on Arbor Day, Feb. 17

The Calhoun Beautification Committee with volunteers from the Gordon County Master Gardener Association will distribute free trees on Georgia Arbor Day, Feb. 17, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.

Trees will be given out at the Northwest Georgia Livestock Pavilion located at 1034 Hwy 53 South. Parking is available at the north and south sides of the building.

Each person will be given 10 tickets to exchange for 10 free trees. The following trees are available: 500 Bald Cypress, 500 Crape Myrtle, 500 Dogwood, 500 Redbud and 500 Red Maple. Please bring plastic bags for bringing the trees home.
