Ten members from the Gordon Central High School chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) recently attended an FBLA Motivational Rally at the Georgia State National Fair in Perry, Ga., and was sponsored by FBLA-PBL.

Students competed in what was the largest FBLA conference in the state of Georgia with more than 9,000 members in attendance.

FBLA members heard Ben Glenn, the Chalkguy, a motivational speaker. He captured the students’ attention by his speed chalkart he drew to music. He also showed the analogy of life to his beautiful artwork.

After the speaker, students competed in various tests, and the winners will be announced at the Fall Leadership Conference in Athens, Ga., Nov. 14.

The group also participated in an evening at Dave and Buster’s Eat and Play while traveling back to Calhoun.

In attendance on behalf of Gordon Central, were Mrs. Sheila Yarbrough, FBLA Adviser, Craig Allee, Alicia Estrada, Melissa Guevara, Toby Nguyen, Robert Howey, Timothy Matzke, Taylor Garrett, Tyler Sewell, Victoria Williams, Beth Walker, and Meagan Williams.
