Taylor Mittleider was dedicated Saturday, Jan. 12, as she prepares to leave for Pucallup, Peru to serve as a student missionary. She will be serving at a rural medical clinic that is under the administration of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Taylor is in her junior year at Southern Adventist University at Collegedale, Tenn., and will be returning there to finish her university work next fall. Presiding over the dedication was her grandfather, Elder Kenneth Mittleider, a retired vice president of the worldwide Adventist church.
The student missionary program is a popular option for students at Adventist universities throughout the world. They are usually chosen for this service between their junior and senior years and serve many months at their mission post. This life experience bears fruit in that service to others becomes a strong characteristic of all their future life plans.
Taylor is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Mittleider of Adairsville.
