Brandi Morgan Johnson, daughter of Doug and Andrea Phipps of Dalton and Tyron and Tammy Johnson of Calhoun, and Jacob Mitchell Brumlow, son of Mitchell and Tammie Brumlow of Calhoun, were married April 16, 2011, at Walnut Hill Farm. The bride’s mother and father gave her away.

Former Governor Sonny Perdue officiated. Grace Lee, Debbie Shim, and Michael Lu, string trio from Atlanta, provided music.

Johnson wore three self-designed dresses throughout, including a mermaid-style gown; her mother’s redesigned wedding dress; and her mother’s redesigned prom dress. For the ceremony, the bride wore a custom gown by Ines di Santo. The gown was blush-colored silk taffeta with a sweetheart neckline, featuring a ruched bodice with peek-a-boo hem revealing handmade roses in soft pink and green hues. In lieu of flowers, the bride carried a vintage brooch bouquet with a natural cotton twist.

The maid of honor was Brooke Johnson of Dalton, Georgia; honorary maid of honor was Macie Thompson of Atlanta.

The bridesmaids were Emily Bearden of Johnstown, New York; Emily Brumlow of Calhoun, Georgia; Suzanne House of Calhoun; Lauren McDonald of Atlanta; Lacey Meadows of Calhoun; and Lanae Patterson of Dalton.

The bridesmaids wore custom designed dresses by Lula Kate and carried natural cotton and tapioca flower bouquets. The off-white and umber silk dupioni dresses featured a ruffled collar, long straight skirt, and detached waistband.

The flower girl was Ann Bedford Gillis of Atlanta; bell ringer Thomas Gillis of Atlanta; ring bearer Gabe Thomason of Calhoun; and page-boys were Hagen Thomason, Will Brumlow, Wyatt Brumlow, and Laine Carden, all of Calhoun.

The best men were the groom’s father, Mitchell Brumlow of Calhoun, and the groom’s brother, Weston Brumlow of Calhoun.

The groomsmen were Steven Chandler of Houston, Texas; Austin Henderson of Calhoun, Georgia; Swayze Johnson of Calhoun; Josh Long of Calhoun; Jarod Powell of Calhoun; and Brody Stocks of Calhoun.

The wedding reception was held at Walnut Hill Farm. The evening before the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Walnut Hill Farm.

The bridesmaid’s luncheon was hosted by Nina Brumlow on April 9 at The Red Door Café in Calhoun. Other pre-nuptial parties were given in honor of the couple by friends and family.

The couple went to Kauai, Hawaii for their wedding trip. They will reside in Calhoun.
