Laurence Henry Mauldin and Janna Puckett were wed at Wesley Chapel Methodist Church in Sonoraville at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2010.
The bride is the daughter of Jo and Paul Teas of Ranger and A.J. and Velma Puckett of Grant, Ala. The groom is the son of Sue and Mac Hite of Calhoun and Laurence Mauldin of Calhoun.
The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Andy Witt. Charity Carney performed the “Lord’s Prayer” and the church was decorated with purple Calla Lillies and included a rememberence table with pictures of the late George and Carolyn Hayes, grandparents of the groom, of Calhoun, and Bessie and Alec Howard of Chattanooga and Paul Teas Sr., also of Chattanooga, the bride’s grandparents.
The bride wore an ivory strapless dress, gathered at the top, with beading around the waist and down the back of the dress.
Bridesmaids were Susan Holman of Duluth, Misty Coker of Calhoun, and Michelle Fountain of Adairsville. They wore purple dresses with halter tops and belted waists. Ashley Fountain, daughter of Michelle Fountain, was the flower girl and wore a mint green sleeveless dress with small purple flowers and ribbons. Hannah Mauldin, daughter of the groom, was the junior bridesmaid.
Groomsmen were Bill Carlson of Calhoun, Amos Puckett, brother of the bride, of Grant, Ala., Matt Volek of Calhoun, and Aaron Montgomery, nephew of the groom, of Inman, S.C.
Ring bearer was Kaiden Coker, son of Misty Coker.
A reception in the church’s fellowship hall followed the ceremony.
The couple took a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn.
