Sarah Elizabeth Jones, of Calhoun, and Michael Keith Rigdon, formerly of Alma, Georgia, along with their families, announce their engagement and forthcoming wedding.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Randall and Sheila Jones, of Calhoun. She is the sister of Tyler Jones, of Marietta, Georgia. She is the granddaughter of Evelyn Jones and the late Gene Jones, Dixie Landress, and the late Wayne and Essie Cook.

She is a 2002 graduate of Gordon Central High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree at Shorter College, where she was a member of the Lady Hawks Soccer team.

Sarah has completed her Masters and Specialists degrees and is employed by the Gordon County School System.

The future groom is the son of Tony and Annette Rigdon, of Alma. He is a graduate of Bacon County High School and Carson Newman College, where he was a member of the Eagles Football team. Michael has completed his Masters and Specialists degrees and is employed by the Gordon County School System.

The groom is the brother of Matthew Rigdon, of Calhoun. He is the grandson of Keith and Marie Cochran and the late James G. Rigdon, of Alma, and the late Robert and Evelyn Stout of Jackson, Tennessee.

The wedding will be June 4, 2011, 6 p.m., at The Homeplace. Formal invitations have been sent.
