Visitors of all ages attended the annual Candlelight Tour at New Echota historical site, Saturday, Dec. 1 where the entire grounds were lined with luminary bags leading visitors to each house on the site.

Friends of New Echota volunteers passed out hot cider and tea cakes to visitors in one building, while another featured a printing press demonstration used to print the first Cherokee newspaper at New Echota.

All buildings were decorated by community groups and volunteers for the annual event. For more photos, visit www.calhountimes.com.
