Parks celebrates 100 years

Aldora Parks celebrated her 100th birthday on Friday, February 15.

She is the daughter of Lee Wright and Molly Fletcher Wright and is one of nine children.

Parks has one daughter the late Manamese Henderson and two granddaughters Mary Louise Hayes and Shirley Richards.

Parks is very educated and greatly enjoys playing the piano and singing. She is originally from Gore Springs but has lived in Rome, Chattanooga, Tenn. and New York and worked as a beautician and caretaker.

Parks lived in Adairsville until a decline in her health now she currently lives at the Calhoun Health Care Center.
