Geoffrey Hine, 33, is in the Floyd County Jail charged with criminal attempt to commit child molestation and computer or electronic pornography.
Hine had been chatting with the Floyd County teen, who is younger than 16, for several months on social media, Lom said.
An anonymous tip led to Hine's arrest and he was taken into custody after he got off the plane in Atlanta.
