Sonoraville High School teacher, Lisa Smith, was one of three business teachers in the State of Georgia chosen as a scholarship recipient to attend the 30th Annual Entrepreneurial Spirit Forum in Atlanta, Georgia from November 9-12.

This is the first time Georgia has been the site of the conference. The theme was Dream Big-Nurture the Entrepreneurial Spirit. Speakers and special guests included: John Hope Bryant, US President’s Advisory Council on Financial Council; Craig Larson, Serial Entrepreneur; Lisa Gipson, Chick-fil-A National Training Manager, to mention a few of the key note speakers. Other national known entrepreneurs participated in workshops at the conference. Smith teaches the Small Business Pathway to students at SHS. She plans to implement many of the things she learned at the conference in her classroom.
