The Calhoun Times is not moving into another building. The auction for the building was held on Thursday, November 28, but unsuccessful in the attempt to sale.

“The final offer did not reach the reserve on the building,” President of News Publishing Company Burgett Mooney said.

The auction started out at $500,000, but no one in the crowd made a bid. The first offering that came from the crowd was $150,000, and then it was a slow climb from there. The final price made on the building was $265,000, and because it did not match the reserve on the building, there was no sale. The Calhoun Times will remain in the building, and will not be moving.
