Donald was born on September 19, 1940 in Floyd County. He was the son of the late Jess Evans and Mildred Pierce Evans. He was of the Baptist faith and was employed by Galey & Lord Industries for over 40years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: two brothers: Ricky and Lamar Evans; one sister, Glenda Yvonne.
Survivors include: his wife, Juanita Ross Evans of Sugar Valley; two sons: Lawrence Brown, Jr. of Sugar Valley, and Douglas Ray Brown of Adairsville; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.
Memorial Services were conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 6 from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Jimmie Timms officiating.
The family received friends from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour on Sunday at the funeral home.
