Edwin was born on November 29, 1939 in Gordon County. He was the son of the late Harold Edwin McEntyre and Janie Wright McEntyre. Edwin previously resided at his long-time residence on Old Calhoun Road in Plainville and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Plainville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his sister, Janeane McEntyre Garlin; brother-in-law, J.B. Garlin; and nephew, Kirk Bradley Garlin.
Survivors include: his son, Richard Sharon “Rick” McEntyre of Marietta, Ga.; his twin brother, Harold Baron McEntyre; sister-in-law, Barbara Copeland McEntyre; niece Kimberly McEntyre Rogers of Calhoun; great-nephew, Brandon Alexander Rogers of Boston, Mass.
Graveside Services were conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 4 in Scott Cemetery with Richard McEntyre speaking.
