Jane was born in Gordon County, July 24, 1932, daughter of Ernest O. Foster and Fannie Dean Foster. Also, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen L. Woody on October 11, 1971 and six brothers and sisters, Faye Clark Jones, Tennie Long, W.A. “Dub” Foster, Claudia Champion, Charles Foster, and Freddie Foster. She was a retired employee of Springs Industries and was a member of the East Gate Baptist Church.
Jane is survived by one son, Douglas K. Woody and one daughter, Celia W. Mullinax both of Calhoun; two nieces, Brenda Price and her husband, Jerry, Deborah Brannon and her husband Jeff; two nephews, Charles Foster and his wife Kim, and Randy Foster; special cousins, Scottie Knight and Peggy Craig, and additional family members.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 27 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Kenny Rogers officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove-Ryo Cemetery near Fairmount. Pallbearers were Jerry Price, Jeff Brannon, Jimmy Knight, Mark Mullinax, Randy Foster, and Charles Foster. Kevin Moss, Scotty Moss, Rodney Boston, and Bobby Mullinax served as Honorary Pallbearers.
The family received friends from 5-8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
