A Cartersville man was arrested on Wednesday morning for allegedly stealing a farm tractor from Smith Equipment Company on Highway 41 in Gordon County.

According to the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office, Brandon Grunseth, 28, of Mountain View Court, Cartersville, Ga, was stopped by Adairsville police at 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday while driving a farm tractor on Highway 41.

The tractor was later determined to be stolen from Smith Equipment Company, according to the release. Grunseth told Gordon County detectives that he had borrowed the tractor to drive home to Cartersville, the release stated.

The tractor has been valued at $25,000. Grunseth was charged with theft and is currently being held at the Gordon County jail, and detectives are investigating the case further.
