Gordon 4-H’ers saddle up for horse show

Five Gordon County 4-H’ers travel to Perry Georgia for the 2011 4-H State Horse show along with over 400 other 4-H’ers from across Georgia. Representing Gordon County was Philip McCown, Anneke Carr, Danielle Griffin, Aubree Correll and Kelsey Jarrett.

Anneke Carr and her horse, Fancy, placed 11th out of 15 other riders in Hunter Hack. She also competed in Hunter Under Saddle and Hunter Showmanship in-hand.

Danielle Griffin competed in Senior Hunter Showmanship in hand, Senior Hunter Under Saddle and Senior Hunt Seat Equitation.

Aubree Correll and her horse Paris placed First out of 28 others in Senior Trail, 9th out of 29 in Senior Western Pleasure. She also competed in Western Horsemanship riders.

Kelsey Jarrett and her horse Dante competed in Hunter Under Saddle and Dressage which she placed first out of 19 other riders. Kelsey will be representing Gordon County at Regionals which will be held in Mississippi this year. Local trainer Nancy Sheriff Searles was also at the completion and was a big help to all the riders.
