The event is slated for Saturday, April 28, starting at 11:30 a.m. The venue is Walnut Hill Farm located on Lee Bryant Road, off Highway 2 East of Prater’s Mill.
Fashion Show Coordinator Donna Finch commented, “Nanette is wonderful; she pays attention to every level of detail and works hard to insure that events at Walnut Hill Farm are an exceptional experience.”
Additionally, the Dalton Business and Professional Women’s organization and TJ Kaikobad at the Dalton Depot are enthusiastically contributing their time and effort to the event’s success. Nanette and Joe Yarbrough, owners of Walnut Hill Spring fashions will be provided by stores in both the Dalton and Calhoun communities.
Participating stores include: Belk located at Walnut Square Mall, House of Beauty and Simply Delightful II, both located on Dug Gap Road, Kohl’s located on Shugart Road and The Bradley House located on Gordon Street. Stores from the Calhoun/Gordon county area include: Biddy Boutique located on Court Street, Reese’s Fashion Gallery located in the Gordon Hills Shopping Center, and The Fitting Room located on Belwood Road. commented, “we are so excited and grateful to these businesses for their willingness to support this event.” Board member, Jennifer Dixon, and the Mary Kay Cosmetic team will provide make-up fashion trends showcased by the models.
The Board currently is seeking community support for the event in the form of sponsorships and door prize donations. The board will accept any level of support for this event, or sponsorships at the following levels: Friend - $250, Patron - $500 or Benefactor - $1,000.” The Crisis Center is a non-profit provider; therefore, all donations are tax-deductible. All Donors and Sponsors will be recognized in the event program.
Board President, Mary Edwards, commented, “we would gratefully The purpose of Northwest Georgia Family Crisis Center is to end violence in the home by providing shelter, advocacy and support to victims while working in communities to change attitudes, beliefs and behaviors.”
The Center provides emergency shelter for domestic violence victims and their children. In addition to a shelter, the Center provides advocacy and client support services through offices in Dalton, Chatsworth and Calhoun. The Center serves Gordon, Murray and Whitfield County residents. The Center’s mission is to “keep families safe” in our community.
