Chipola College sophomore Jordan Poole was awarded Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) Baseball player of the week honors for March 27-April 2.

The Calhoun native hit .571 (8-for-14) with four home runs and eight RBI during the Indians’ four-game week.

Poole homered in all four games, including a three-game set against Northwest Florida State, and the opener of a three-game series with Tallahassee.

He was 2-for-3 in games one and two against Northwest on March 19 and 21, and he enjoyed a three-hit afternoon against Tallahassee on March 24 before going 1-for-4 against Northwest on March 25.

For the week, Poole scored six runs and had a 1.14 slugging percentage.

For the season, the sophomore is batting .322 with six home runs, 27 RBI, 19 runs, 37 hits, and a .557 slugging percentage.

Poole ended his career at Calhoun in 2010 by helping lead the Jackets to a Class AA State Championship by defeating Cook County in a three-game series.

He was named All-Area First-Team by the Rome News-Tribune.

Chipola is ranked fourth in the FCSAA State Poll.
