The school officially introduced Tony Kunczewski, the defensive coordinator from LaGrange College, as the first-ever football coach for the Berry program during a press conference Monday morning at Berry.
Kunczewski addressed the factors in a building a football program as well as the possible changes in the college but thought the entire process would be a positive one for the college.
"We'll make the whole region proud of what we're going to do on and off the field," he said.
During his press conference, Kunczewski said Berry had "one of the most beautiful campuses I've ever seen."
"I was so impressed with everything here during my day and a half interview," he said. "Everything was so top notch."
He said he had an "exhaustive list" of coaches in mind as possible assistants on his staff, and said he expects to have about 100 players on the roster.
On recruiting: "We've got to get the kids on campus. That's half the battle right there. If we can just get them here, the campus sells itself."
