The Gordon County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man wanted in connection with an alleged rape on Tuesday.

The man is described as Hispanic, in his early 20s. He is roughly 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs approximately 140-pounds.

According police reports, the man was last seen in the Boone Ford/Dews Pond area late Tuesday.

According to the Gordon County Sheriff's Office the suspect has not been seen in 24 hours, and authorities say they have no reason to believe his is armed.

The Gordon County Sheriff’s Office is still searching for a man they believed raped a female juvenile Monday night in the Sonoraville community.

According to police reports, Tony Cuevas, 29, is wanted in connection with the alleged rape. Detectives believe Cuevas is an acquaintance of the alleged victim’s parents.

On Tuesday, deputies and detectives attempted to arrest Cuevas near Boone Ford Road, but he fled into the woods, where he eluded those in pursuit.

Cuevas was last seen Tuesday morning in that area, wearing blue shorts and a blue tank top.

Cuevas’ address is not known, and officials said they do not believe he was armed.

Cuevas has been charged with rape and obstructing peace officers.
