UPDATE

A bridge just past the Hwy41 and 225 split, before Mauldin Rd. has been reopened after a fuel leak from a vehicle collision closed the road at approximately 11 a.m. today.

Crews are currently working to repair the damaged guardrail, but the road is opened and traffic is moving.

Previous Story

A van, truck, collided with the guardrail on the bridge right after the Highway 41 and Highway 225 split, and law enforcement agents along with the Gordon County Road Department have shut down the road, according to Gordon E911.

No fatalities or injuries were reported in the collision, but a fuel leak caused the road to be closed for an unknown amount of time.

Travelers on Highway 41 are encouraged to detour around the collision area.
