Mr. Ralph Wyatt, 81, of Resaca, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at his residence following several months of declining health. He was born in Gordon County on May 31, 1931, son of the late John Staton Wyatt and the late Martha Cherry Wyatt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Claude, Howard, L.D., and Bill Wyatt; and a sister, Pauline W. Tatum.

Mr. Wyatt was a 1950 graduate of Fairmount High School, and a retired poultry farmer He was a member of the Sugar Valley Masonic Lodge #733 F &AM, and was past Master. He was past Master of the Resaca Lodge #724 F&AM in 1980-81, and was Master of the Gordon Masonic Convention in 1998. He was a member of the Gordon County Masonic Memorial.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Beulah Mae Davidson Wyatt; a stepson, Clarence Smith and his wife Connie of Ft. Worth, Texas; a brother, Hank Wyatt of Plainville; and special friends, Rev. Joe and Alisha Parker and daughter Melea of Resaca.

Funeral services for Mr. Ralph Wyatt will be held Saturday, November 3 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon and Rev. Joe Parker officiating. Interment will follow in the Sardis Cemetery, with Worshipful Brother Gary Lemmons conducting Masonic Rites. Active pallbearers will include Robert Young, Don Bagley, Eugene Sewell, Albert Edwards, Hughdon Tate, Charlie Long, and Tom Daughtery. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Sugar Valley Masonic Lodge #733 F&AM.

The Wyatt family received friends Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

Flowers will be omitted, and memorial contributions in Mr. Wyatt’s name may be made to the GA Masonic Home for Children Endowment, Grand Lodge Secretary, P.O. Box 4665, Macon, GA 31208, or the Sugar Valley Lodge #733 F&AM Building Fund.
