Mr. Keith Franklin Ray, 43, of Resaca, died Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in Erlanger Medical Center.

Keith was born in Calhoun, on August 24, 1969, and was the son of Kathy Yvonne Ray Pierce. He attended Red Bud School and was employed by Carroll Fertilizer in Cartersville. Preceding him in death was his grandparents, Ben and Annie Mae Patterson, whom he loved very much, and by a brother, David Wayne Patterson. He was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Cathy Elaine Roberson Ray, to whom he was married for 13 years; a stepson, Jeremy McCleskey and his wife Christa of Silver Creek, Ga.; mother, Kathy Yvonne Pierce of Calhoun; six grandchildren, Dalton, Elijah, Isiah, Luke, Collin, Elizabeth and Rileigh McCleskey, all of Silver Creek; a brother, Marty Ray and his wife Amy of Woodstock, Ga.; two sisters, Susie Baine and her husband Haden of Copper Hill, Tenn., and Tina Ray of Dalton; and nieces and nephews, Rebecca Baine, Justin Baine, Alicia Ray, Christina Hensley, Amber Hensley, Josh Floyd, Cameron Floyd and Brad Ray.

Funeral services for Mr. Keith Ray were held Saturday, November 10 at 2 p.m. from the Maple Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. Larry Ledford and Rev. Brandon Herndon officiating. The body was placed in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment followed in the Crane Eater Cemetery. Pallbearers included Doug Patterson, Todd Eaton, Tracy Parker, Brad Ray, Cameron Floyd, Josh Floyd and Justin Baine. Honorary pallbearers were the Maple Grove Baptist Church Youth.

The Ray family received friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Friday between 5-8 p.m.
