Hundreds of members of the community gathered to celebrate the fall season on Saturday, October 27 at the city of Calhoun’s annual Harvest Fest.

More than 60 vendors participated in a hybrid of a farmer’s market and carnival-style festival. From bounce houses and arts and crafts to pie eating contests, there was an activity for every member of the family.

Alliant Health Plans sponsored an “Appreciation Station,” where members of the community could write on a sticky note, the things they are thankful for, and place it on the station wall. Close to 100 people participated.

“We’re very thankful for our customers and our community, and we wanted a way for the community to think about all they’re thankful for,” said Mark Mixer, vice president of marketing at Alliant Health Plans. “It was a great way to kick off the season of Thanksgiving.”
