The free seminar will be held Thursday, November 29 beginning at 6 p.m. in Gordon Hospital’s Conference Room E. A free meal will be served, but reservations are required to ensure that enough food is prepared. To make your reservation, please call 706-602-7800, ext. 2305.
The program will be presented by Suzette Chin, MD, from Respiratory Consultants of Georgia. Following an informative presentation, Dr. Chin will also offer a question and answer session for the attendees.
In addition to her presentation, staff from the Cardiopulmonary Department of Gordon Hospital will be offering a variety of screenings and assessments, including spirometry (which measures lung function), Alpha–1 screenings (a genetic test to determine one’s potential for developing emphysema); pulse oximetry (which monitors the saturation of one’s hemoglobin); and sleep disorder assessments.
“Anyone who is suffering from breathing or sleeping issues, as well as their family members and loved ones, is encouraged to attend this free seminar,” says Gordon Hospital’s Cardiopulmonary Department Director Cindy Davis, BS RRT, CPFT. “There are many treatment options available; and the sooner you begin treatment, the sooner you will be breathing better.”
