Employees of Shaw plant 7-G.
For the second year in a row Shaw Plants DK and 7-G employees are 100 percent, meaning all employees participate in the United Way campaign by contributing to the annual fund raising campaign.

“This is a great group of people who always do well. I am very proud of them,” said DK Plant Manager Mark Ferguson.

Tony Cochran Plant HR manager and Melissa Smith H-CHRR handled the entire campaign for the plant.

“This reflects the quality of our associates,” said Cochran. “Even when they are working shorter time they still give back to the community.”

Plant UV also reached the 100 percent participation level. Cochran is also the HR manager for UV. More than 110 employees from the three plants gave to the 2013 campaign.

Shaw employees throughout Gordon County again lead the entire northwest Georgia area in participation with United Way. More than 70 percent of all Shaw employees working in Gordon County give to United Way. They exceed the northwest Georgia participation percentage for all Shaw employees by almost 10 percent. The contribution from Shaw to United Way of Gordon County represents approximately 25 percent of the total United Way of Gordon County campaign total.
