Mrs. Mildred Cochran Pelfrey, 92, of 7684 Adairsville Road, NW, Adairsville, passed away Sunday evening, November 18, 2012 at Gordon Hospital, Calhoun.

She was born in Pickens County, Ga., June 24, 1920, daughter of the late Lewis Wilburn Cochran and Betty Moss Cochran. Mrs. Pelfrey was of the Christian faith and enjoyed flower gardening, cooking and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Woodrow “Jim” Pelfrey; two sisters, Coleen Cochran and Marie Wilson; a brother, Joe Cochran.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Hilda and Kenneth Jackson of Adairsville; two grandchildren, Steve and Melissa Jackson of Adairsville and Misty Baker of Adairsville; four great-grandchildren, Kandi and Sam Cash, Colt Jackson, Holly Baker, and Sawyer Jackson; four great great-grandchildren, Gracie and Charlie Cash, Cade Baker, and Addialyn Jackson; thre sisters, Willie Mae McGuire of Kentucky, Eddie Goswick of Calhoun, and Kate Hawkins of Dalton

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Min. Skip Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville.

Pallbearers include Steve Jackson, Sawyer Jackson, Sam Cash, Kregg Owens, Alex Coker, and Danny Mealer.

The family received friends Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
