Calhoun extended their season for another week with a 34-7 win over Washington-Wilkes in the third round of the Class AA state playoffs on Friday night at Phil Reeve Stadium.

Quarterback Taylor Lamb threw for three TDs, running back Alex Urbano ran for two TDs and the defense forced five turnovers in the win.

The Jackets will now advance to the third round where they will face Brooks County in a much-anticipated matchup. Since both teams are No. 1 seeds, a coin flip today will be used to determine home-field advantage. (Check Calhountimes.com or prepcentralonline.com on Saturday for details of how the coin flip turned out).
