Morning Pointe of Calhoun recently teamed up with Sugar Valley Baptist Church for Operation Christmas Child.

Residents at the assisted living community contributed 18 Christmas Shoeboxes to Sugar Valley Baptist Church, a local sponsor of the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child.

Samaritan’s Purse is a non-denominational Christian humanitarian organization that works to meet the physical and spiritual needs of people around the world.

Residents filled the boxes with small gifts, candies and school supplies to be distributed to children ages 2-14.
