She was born in Ranger, Ga. on October 27, 1935 to Drew Washington and Mary Belle Long. Betty attended school at Fairmount High. After high school, Betty held various positions in Business Administration in both Orlando and Atlanta. She married Harvey Kahn Drucker on June 23, 1968 and began her favorite career as a wife and mother to her two sons.
She is survived by her husband Harvey Drucker, her sisters Donna King, Elaine Reed, and Gail Johnson, her sons, Kirk and Kile Drucker (Daughter in law, Julie Drucker), her grandchildren, Rachel and Harris Drucker and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 1 at University Heights Methodist Church located at 1267 Balsam Drive, Decatur GA 30033.
A graveside service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 2 in Calhoun, at the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Steven Cochran officiating, 9844 Red Bud Road, Ranger, GA 30734.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Betty’s Memory to either University Heights Methodist Church or Hands on Ministries (C/O University Heights Methodist Church).
