Calhoun teenager Dawson Gooch remained in critical condition Thursday, after being struck by a vehicle on Hunts Gin Rd., Sunday, Dec. 8. Gooch was airlifted from the scene by helicopter to the T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital at Erlanger where he remains in a coma.

Dawson's father, Leslie Gooch, says Dawson has not showed any sign of improvement and remains in a coma in Tennessee, where Leslie is currently residing at the local Ronald McDonald House.

The family has no insurance and has opened a fund for Dawson at Wells Fargo for donations to be made.

Checks should be made payable to the Dawson Gooch Benefit Fund and taken to any Wells Fargo branch, or sent to Leslie Gooch at 200 Central Ave., Chattanooga, Tenn. 37403. For more information, contact Leslie at 828-640-1961.
