Hundreds lined the parade route enjoying the sights, sounds and perfect holiday weather. Santa Claus was the highlight of the parade as he chugged down Wall Street in the Gordon Hospital Express.

This year there were a total of 78 entries and three talented marching bands, and according to a press release from the Gordon County Chamber of Commerce, the parade was one of the largest in recent years and one of the most colorful with countless numbers of bright, twinkling Christmas lights.

The Gordon County Chamber of Commerce Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Downtown Development Authority and the Northwest Georgia Regional Fair hosted the 2012 Christmas Parade of Lights.
