Stephen was born in New York City October 25, 1933, son of the late Herman and Margaret Urquhart Forster. He was a graduate of Brown University, a veteran of the United States Army and a active member of the Calhoun First Presbyterian Church. After his retirement from Goodyear Stephen devoted his life to his family and his community, he was Past President of the Calhoun Rotary Club and Paul Harris Fellow, Past President of the Calhoun/Gordon County Chamber of Commerce, Board member of the Calhoun Winners Club. He loved to perform and was a member of the Calhoun Little Theater and the Community Chorus.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Beverly Forster, two sons, Michael Forster and his wife Diana and Scott Forster and his wife Nancy all of Calhoun. Two sisters, Margaret Swentzel of New Jersey and Ann Higgs of New York. One grandson, Randall Forster of Calhoun also survives.
Memorial services were conducted Thursday January 3 at 1 p.m. from the Calhoun First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Pete Ullman officiating. Burial followed in Fain Cemetery.
