Gordon County should expect between two and four inches of snow Thursday evening, sometime around 5 p.m., according to Emergency Management Director Richard Cooper.

Cooper urges everyone to practice extreme caution when traveling on the roadways tomorrow evening and to be aware of "black ice," especially on bridges and overpasses.

Sunshine is expected for Friday, hopefully, says Cooper.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for North Georgia, including Gordon County.

According to Director of Emergency Management Richard Cooper, the weather will be watched very closely to see what happens tonight.

"Hopefully it will miss us," said Cooper.

Freezing rain and snow are expected for the county if in fact it does not miss Gordon County.

The warning was put into effect for tomorrow until Friday evening.
