Calhoun's Shanta McDaniel (seated, center) signed a scholarship to play softball at Chattanooga State on Wednesday.

McDaniel said of the signing: "I've got a really good feeling about (Chattanooga State). Being at a place like Calhoun and winning as much as we have, it gives you a competitive drive, and I'm happy to get a chance to continue to play softball on the next level."
