Bingo will be held at the Calhoun Elks Big Room on Saturday, Feb. 9 starting at 7 p.m. There will be cash prizes, plit the pot, food and drinks and door prizes. All the proceeds will go to benefit the Calhoun Elkettes charities.
“An Evening of Love and Laughter” event on Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Harris Arts Center. The event supports the Family Resource Center’s home visitation programs for at-risk chil-dren ages 0-5 years and their families. It is being organized by the Prevent Child Abuse Gordon County Board members. Several items will be offered in a live auction including four Disney World Hopper passes and a weekend retreat in the Highlands! There will also be a silent auction with one of a kind jewelry and photographs, popular sports memorabilia, athletic passes and much more! A night out with Elvis, will be on Saturday, Feb. 9 starting at 6 p.m. at the Gordon County Senior Center. The cost is $3 for singles and $5 for couples. There will be finger foods served. For more information call Joyce Long at 706-383-8057 or Molly Young at 706-629-0996.
All Gordon County storm relief efforts, including donation drop-offs and distribution, have been moved to the old Big Lots on Hwy 53 behind Starbucks.
