There have been new charges added to two of the men wanted in connection with the home invasion which occurred on Springdale Drive and injured two people. There has also been a fourth suspect taken into custody.

Detectives took Deana Papp, 26, of Calhoun into custody after it was discovered she had prior knowledge of the crime and is believed to have supplied information to the suspects about the victims in this case, according to a press release from the CPD.

According to the release, all four suspects in this case have been linked to an additional armed robbery that occurred last month in Calhoun.

The CPD was dispatched to Edmond Circle at 1:15 p.m. in regards to the first armed robbery that took place on January 26.

The victim was a 57 year old male who said he was getting ready to start his day when he heard someone come into his apartment.

According to the incident report from the CPD, the man went to see what was going on when a black male with a red bandana around his face took a knife out and held it to the victims throat and said, “give it up.”

Then a second black male went into the victims bedroom and started to look around and go through the victims personal items, according to the report.

The victim then told one of the intruders that he recognized him and wanted to know why he would try to rob him. After he said that the intruders both ran out of the front door, according to the report.

After the incident was over, the victims nephew reportedly started getting text messages from the offenders brother telling him if the nephew tried to find the offenders that they would hunt down the victims nephew and harm him.

The CPD was dispatched 11 hours later to a second home invasion that occurred on Sprindale Drive.

The victims in the second incident were both in their 70’s and sustained injuries during the incident, but according to CPD Lt. Detective Tony Pyle both have been released from the hospital.

At the scene, authorities apprehended the suspects, and after a further investigation the two incidents were linked together.
