Mrs. Virginia McClurd Anderson of Calhoun announces the engagement and forthcoming marriage of her daughter Patricia Ryan McClurd to Michael Brandon Buchanan, son of Mr. & Mrs. Terry Buchanan of Carrollton, Ga.

The bride-elect is the daughter of the late James “Butch” McClurd and sister of Marcy McClurd Bullard, Jamie McClurd, and Ariele Anderson. Tricia is the granddaughter of Marcelle McClurd and the late Jimmy McClurd, Joseph E. Moore and the late Patricia Moore, all of Calhoun, Ga.

Miss McClurd is a 1998 graduate of Calhoun High School and a 2005 graduate of American Intercontinen-tal University with an Associate of Arts Degree in Business Administration. She is employed by Mohawk Industries in Calhoun.

The future groom is the brother of Lynne Buchanan Kopp. Mike is the grandson of Buena McLain and the late JT McLain, Thelma Buchanan and the late Henry Buchanan, all of Carrollton, Ga.

Mr. Buchanan is a 1995 graduate of Carrollton High School, and a 2001 graduate of Southern Polytechnic State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering. He is employed by Shaw Industries in Calhoun.

The wedding will be held on September 12, 2009 at Grand Oaks in Cartersville. Formal invitations will be sent.
