Sonoraville High School was once again the victim of a bomb threat Tuesday afternoon.

According to Gordon County schools officials, the threat was posted at the school and school officials immediately contacted the Gordon County Sheriff’s office, and the buildings were evacuated.

A search of the facility was conducted by authorities and no evidence of a bomb was found at the scene.

An investigation into the incident is being conducted, and a reward for information leading to an arrest is being offered by school officials.

Superintendent Bill McCown said he would once again like to thank the Gordon County sheriff’s office, as well as the administrative staffs, faculties, and students of Sonoraville High School for their prompt, professional response to the situation.

The threat comes just 24 hours after a threat made Monday that also led to the evacuation of the school.

I am a student at SHS and I am severely irritated at what transpired on Monday and Tuesday. I think its pathetic a student(s) have threatened such a great school with fake threats. I hope the student(s) get caught and punished severly. Many students lost valuable time spent that could be used to educate and we will never get that back.
